Having just left Oakland only a few months earlier, Coach Gruden still had the Raiders play list fresh in his mind, He had his team practice defending against every Raiders play in the final days before the big game.

As a result, the Buccaneers defense intercepted five passes from Raiders Quarterback Rich Gannon and walked away with a 48 to 21 victory.
