Bart Starr and the Green Bay Packers won by a score of 35 to 10.

Super Bowl II: Green Bay Packers vs. Oakland Raiders

January 14, 1968 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, FL

Bart Starr and the Green Bay Packers won their second Super Bowl in a row and became instant NFL legends.

Bart Starr was again named MVP

Super Bowl III: New York Jets vs. Baltimore Colts

January 12, 1969 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, FL

This is probably the most famous Super Bowl of all time. Quarterback Johnny Unitas and the Baltimore Colts were the heavy favorites; however Joe Namath, the quarterback of the New York Jets had guaranteed that the Jets would win the game. The Jets made good on their guarantee and won the game by a score of 16 to 7.

Joe Namath was named MVP and became an instant celebrity.

1969 Super Bowl IV: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Minnesota Vikings

January 11, 1970 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, LA

The Chiefs beat the Vikings by a score of 23 to 7

Kansas City Chiefs Len Dawson was named MVP

Super Bowl V: Baltimore Colts vs. Dallas Cowboys

January 17, 1971 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, FL

The Baltimore Colts won in the last 5 seconds of the game when Colts kicker Jim O’Brian made a 32 yard field goal to win by a score of 16 to 13. This is one of the few championship games where the MVP award was given to a player on the losing team. Defensive player Chuck Howley of the Dallas Cowboys made 2 interceptions during the game and was named MVP.

Super Bowl VI: Dallas Cowboys vs. Miami Dolphins

January 16, 1972 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, LA

Quarterback Roger Staubach and the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Miami Dolphins by a score of 24 to 3. This was the first time in Super Bowl history that the losing team failed to score a touchdown.

Roger Staubach was awarded the MVP.

Super Bowl VII: Miami Dolphins vs. Washington Redskins

January 14, 1973 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA

The Miami Dolphins defeated the Washington Redskins by a score of 14 to 7. This was a perfect way to wind up their season. The Miami Dolphins became the first team in NFL history to have a perfect 17-0 season and then go on to win the Super Bowl. Jake Scott of the Miami Dolphins was named MVP.

January 13, 1974 at Rice Stadium in Houston, TX

The Miami Dolphins defeated the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 24 to 7 giving the Miami Dolphins back to back Super Bowl Victories.

January 12, 1975 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, LA

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 16 to 6.

Running Back Franco Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers was named MVP

Super Bowl X: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Dallas Cowboys

January 18, 1976 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, FL

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 21 to 7 giving the Pittsburgh Steelers back to back Super Bowl wins.

Wide receiver Lynn Swann of the Pittsburgh Steelers was named MVP.

Super Bowl XI: Oakland Raiders vs. Minnesota Vikings

January 9, 1977 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA

Quarterback Ken “The Snake” Stabler and the Oakland Raiders defeated the Minnesota Vikings 32 to 14.

Wide Receiver Fred Biletnikoff of the Oakland Raiders was named MVP

Super Bowl XII: Dallas Cowboys vs. Denver Broncos

January 15, 1978 at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA

The Dallas Cowboys defense secured a 27 to 10 victory by forcing eight turnovers in the game.

This was the first time in Super Bowl history that two players were named MVP: Dallas Cowboys defensive players Randy White and Harvey Martin.

Super Bowl XIII: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Dallas Cowboys

January 21, 1979 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, FL

Quarterback Terry Bradshaw and the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 35 to 31. This was the first time that a team won 3 Super Bowl Games.

Terry Bradshaw and the Pittsburgh Steelers won their fourth Super Bowl victory and their second back to back Super Bowl victory by beating the Rams 31 to 19.

Quarterback Jim Plunkett and the Oakland Raiders defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27 to 10 and became the first team in the history of the NFL to win the Super Bowl as a wild card team.

January 20, 1985 at Stanford Stadium at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA

Quarterback Joe Montana, Running back Roger Craig and rest of the San Francisco 49ers notched up another Super Bowl victory by defeating Dan Marino and the Dolphins 38 to 16.

Super Bowl XX: Chicago Bears vs. New England Patriots

January 26, 1986 at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA

This was probably the most famous Bears team of all time. Quarterback Jim McMahon along with Richard Dent, William “The Refrigerator” Perry and the rest of the Chicago Bears defeated the Patriots by a score of 46 to 10. The Bears defense had 7 sacks and held the Patriots to 7 yards rushing.

Richard Dent was named MVP.

January 25, 1987 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA

The New York Giants came away with a 39 to 20 victory over the Denver Broncos.

Super Bowl XXII: Washington Redskins vs. Denver Broncos

January 31, 1988 at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego, CA

The Washington Redskins came back from a 10 point deficit to defeat the Denver Broncos 42 to 10.

Washington Redskins Quarterback Doug Williams was named MVP

Super Bowl XXIII: San Francisco 49ers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

January 22, 1989 at Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami, FL

The San Francisco 49ers came away with a close victory over the Broncos when Joe Montana connected with John Taylor for a touchdown pass late in the game.

Wide Receiver Jerry Rice of the San Francisco 49ers set a Super Bowl record by receiving for 215 yards. He was also named MVP of the game.

Super Bowl XXXIV: San Francisco 49ers vs. Denver Broncos

January 28, 1990 at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA

This was the fourth Super Bowl victory for the San Francisco 49ers. They defeated the Denver Broncos 55 to 10 and became the second team in NFL history to win four Super Bowl titles. The Pittsburgh Steelers were the only other team up until this point to have four Super Bowl wins.

Joe Montana was named MVP for the third time.

Super Bowl XXV: New York Giants vs. Buffalo Bills

January 27, 1991 at Tampa Stadium in Tampa, FL

The Giants defeated the Broncos by a 1 point margin. The final score was 20 to 19 in favor of New York.

Running Back Otis Anderson of the NY Giants was named MVP

Super Bowl XXVI: Washington Redskins vs. Buffalo Bills

January 26, 1992 at the Metrodome in Minneapolis MN

Quarterback Mark Rypian and the Washington Redskins defeated the Buffalo Bills 37 to 24. This victory handed head coach Joe Gibbs his third Super Bowl championship.

Super Bowl XXVII: Dallas Cowboys vs. Buffalo Bills

January 31, 1993 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA

Quarterback Troy Aikman and the Dallas Cowboys handed the Buffalo Bills their third straight Super Bowl loss. The final score was 52 to 17 in favor of Dallas.

Quarterback Steve Young led the 49ers to a 49 to 26 victory over the Chargers. This made the San Francisco 49ers the first team in NFL history to win five Super Bowl Championship games.

January 28, 1996 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ

Led by Quarterback Troy Aikman, the Dallas Cowboys secured a 27 to 10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Brett Favre and Desmond Howard along with Reggie White and the rest of the Green Bay Packers secured their first Super Bowl victory in 29 years by defeating the New England Patriots by a score of 35 to 21.

New England won its first Super Bowl by defeating St. Louis 20 to 17. Adam Vinatieri kicked a game winning field goal in the last seconds of the game.

February 6, 2005 at ALTELL Stadium in Jacksonville, FL

The New England Patriots won their third Super Bowl by defeating the Eagles 24 to 21.

Wide Receiver Deion Branch of the Patriots was named MVP

Super Bowl XL: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks

February 5, 2006 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan

The Pittsburgh Steelers became the third team along with the 49ers and Cowboys to win five Super Bowl games. With outstanding plays by Jerome Bettis, Hines Ward and Willie Parker, they defeated the Seahawks 21 to 10.

February 4, 2007 at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida

Quarterback Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Chicago Bears by a score of 29 to 17.

February 3, 2008 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona

The New England Patriots were favored to win this game by 12 points. However, Tom Coughlin and his team showed up ready to play and determined to win. In what was one of the greatest Super Bowl games of all time, the New York Giants upset the New England Patriots 17 to 14.

February 1, 2009 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger along with Santonio Holmes and the rest of the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27 to 23.

Super Bowl XLIV: New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts

February 7, 2010 at Land Shark Stadium in Miami, FL

Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints defeated Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts 31 to 17. After being down by a score of 10 to 0, the Saints opened the second half with an onside kick. (This was the first time in Super Bowl history that a team kicked an onside kick to start the second half.) The Saints then drove the ball down the field and scored a touchdown. The Colts would score one more touchdown in the game, but they were unable to stop the Saints momentum. Peyton Manning of the Colts threw an interception late in the fourth quarter. This sealed the deal for the Saints and gave them the victory.
